British fashion editors want to do their part to help the economy by launching a magazine? Seems a bit crazy with the closing of more than a few publications in the past year but lets get this one straight it's not a magazine, it's a book.

Editor in Cheif , Becky Smith [Creative Director & founder of Lula], Features Editor, Aimee Farrel [Vogue U.K.], and Art Director, Francesca Gavin [Dazed & Confused and British Elle] have a grasp of what today's magazine consumer is looking for in a publication. In the vain of Lula, Wanchor & Sketchbook, they hope this biannually produced, Twin Magazine, will have a sense of permanence. Farrel said to Vogue magazine "with the instant communication of blogs and the Web, [Twin Magazine] feels a little more simple, considered, and less throwaway. It’s an object to keep and covet.”

Featuring fashion's elite, Twin's first issue includes Todd Selby's take on his own home, model Freja Beha Erichson delivers her darkside in leather, Carol Ann Duffy, the first female poet laureate, curates a poetry portfolio and an article by my fav Parisian street stylist, Garance Dore.

It's just a bit yum wouldn't you say. Launch party photos to come...
